A garment built for movement, the Jholawala Blazer draws from the layered realities of the rickshaw driver’s life—adaptable, practical, and deeply rooted in the city’s fabric.
The blazer’s patch pockets and lapels feature Katha patchwork sourced from Bengal, an ode to the fragmented yet interwoven stories of those who make up Mumbai’s ever-moving landscape. Inspired by traditional kurtas, the bodice features a distorted lapel and three-panel construction, giving the silhouette a relaxed yet structured feel.
Designed with transition in mind, the blazer folds seamlessly into a tote bag, mirroring the duality of the modern worker—constantly shifting between spaces, roles, and routines. Each jacket carries a 3D-printed hangtag, inspired by the ID tags worn by rickshaw drivers, a subtle nod to their presence in the city’s rhythm.
